Your data, plainly put.
We are a two-person studio, not an ad network. This page says exactly what the contact form collects, who touches it on the way to our inbox, how long we keep it, and how to make us delete it.
The short version
- The only personal information we ask for is the five fields in our contact form.
- Those submissions travel through FormSubmit, a third-party form service, and land in our email inbox.
- We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. There is no ad tech on this site.
- Our analytics are cookieless and do not follow you across other websites.
- Email us and we will delete your enquiry. No hoops.
Who we are
Webrivio is a web design studio based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. We build websites for small businesses across Toronto and the GTA. We are a service-area business, which means we work with clients on site and remotely and do not operate a public storefront address.
This policy covers webrivio.com and the enquiries we receive through it. If you email or call us directly, the same principles apply.

What we collect
If you fill in the contact form, we collect the fields you type into it — nothing more. There is no hidden profiling, no data enrichment, no buying of extra details about you from anyone else.
- Name
- So we know who we are talking to.
- Email address
- So we can reply to you.
- Phone number
- So we can call you if that is faster than email.
- Business name
- So we can look at your current site and understand your market.
- Industry
- So we can quote realistically for the kind of work you need.
Separately, when any browser loads this site, our hosting provider and analytics record ordinary technical information — the page requested, approximate region, device and browser type, referring page. That data is aggregated and is not used to identify you personally.
Why we collect it
One reason: to answer your enquiry and quote your project. That is it. We do not add you to a marketing list, and we do not use your details for anything you did not contact us about.
The lawful basis is your consent — you chose to send us the form — and the need to take steps at your request before entering into a contract with you. You can withdraw that consent at any time (see Your rights).
Who else handles it
We keep the list of companies that touch your data as short as we can. Right now it is three.
FormSubmit (formsubmit.co). Our contact form does not post to our own server. It posts to FormSubmit, a third-party form-delivery service based in the United States, which forwards your submission to our email inbox. This means the five fields you enter are transmitted to and processed on servers outside Canada, and may be subject to the laws of that country. If you would rather not use a third-party service, email us directly at hello@webrivio.com instead — it reaches the same place.
- Our email provider. Your enquiry arrives as an email and sits in our inbox until we act on it.
- Vercel. This site is hosted on Vercel, which processes standard server request data (such as IP address) in order to serve the pages to you and keep the site online.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers, data brokers, or anyone else who is not listed above.
Analytics & cookies
This site uses Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights. They tell us which pages get read and how fast the site loads for real visitors. Both are privacy-friendly by design: they do not set cookies to identify you, and they do not build a profile of you or follow you across other websites.
We do not run Google Analytics, advertising pixels, retargeting tags, or any cross-site tracking. We set no cookies of our own beyond what is technically required to run the site.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for as long as we need them: to reply to you, to follow up while the conversation is live, and — if you become a client — to keep the business and tax records we are required to keep. If nothing comes of the conversation, we delete the enquiry once it is clearly no longer relevant.
You do not have to wait for that. Ask us to delete your enquiry and we will remove it from our inbox and records.
Your rights
Under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you, and know how it has been used.
- Correct anything that is wrong or out of date.
- Withdraw consent at any time and ask us to stop using your information.
- Have it deleted, subject to any records we are legally required to keep.
- Complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada if you think we have handled your information badly. We would rather you told us first so we can fix it.
If you are contacting us from outside Canada, send us the same request and we will honour it — we are not going to argue about which statute applies to you.
To exercise any of this, email hello@webrivio.com. We will get back to you within a reasonable time, and we will not charge you for it.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, and the services we rely on are established providers with their own security practices. Access to our inbox is limited to the two of us.
Being honest about the limits: no website or email system is perfectly secure, so please do not send us passwords, banking details, or other sensitive information through the contact form. We will never ask you for them there.
Changes to this policy
If we start using a different form service, a different analytics tool, or collect anything beyond the five fields above, we will update this page and change the date at the top. There is no version of this policy that quietly gets worse for you.
